CHARACTERISTICS OF EUCALYPTUS HONEY
“Eucalyptus honey is produced from the nectar of eucalyptus flowers (Eucalyptus sp.). Its color varies, often appearing as a dark amber shade. It has an intense and persistent aroma, distinctly reminiscent of wet wood. This honey is appreciated for its bold character and distinctive sensory profile.
This honey is produced in the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula during August and September.
Eucalyptus honey crystallizes thanks to the purity of our honey. Its crystallization is medium, and the crystals are also of a medium size. We can change its texture if we heat it up in a double boiler (or bain-marie) at less than 40ºC.
