Since the spring of 2016, we have been labeling our products produced within the Reserve, with the Biosphere Reserve (RBTE) label- an internationally recognized award, granted by UNESCO, in Terres de l\u2019Ebre. This award allows us to fully recognize our products, guaranteeing that they have been created with a commitment to quality, and with respect for the natural environment of our territory.<\/p>\n

REGULATION OF THE BIOSPHERE RESERVE<\/strong><\/h3>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_tta_tabs style=”flat” shape=”square” color=”white” spacing=”20″ gap=”30″ alignment=”center” active_section=”1″ no_fill_content_area=”true”][vc_tta_section title=”Basic requirements” tab_id=”basic”][vc_column_text]Products from beekeeping whose production is certified by the Catalan Council of Organic Agricultural Production (CCPAE) will be eligible for the use of the brand. Products that, without being in the above cases, meet the following requirements may also use the brand:<\/p>\n

  • Be obtained on farms domiciled within the RBTE area and its area of \u200b\u200binfluence, classified and packaged within the area itself for marketing.<\/li>\n
  • Moths must be located in settlements or sites within the area of \u200b\u200bthe Biosphere Reserve area and its area of \u200b\u200binfluence for a minimum of 7 months of the year.<\/li>\n
  • They must be packed in suitable containers, with a maximum capacity of 2 kg.<\/li>\n
  • The packaging or packaging for marketing must be done by an industrialist in the sector or by a farm that is in the mode of local sales for this activity and handle only its own harvest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • Organize, participate and \/ or collaborate in actions to preserve the natural, landscape and cultural values, using the instruments of land stewardship.<\/li>\n
        • Monitor the energy and water consumption of the establishment and \/ or vehicles following the excel template that will be provided and propose improvements to save on this consumption.<\/li>\n
        • Encourage energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy in accredited activities, with methodologies that can prove it.<\/li>\n
        • Participate in actions and campaigns in favor of the conservation of the territory’s biodiversity (reforestation, beach cleaning, etc.).<\/li>\n
        • Have waste management systems that encourage recovery and recycling.<\/li>\n
        • Involve customers, partners, producers\u2026 in environmental management through posters, information materials, talks\u2026<\/li>\n
        • Host talks, workshops, environmental training days (within the scope of action) in schools, neighborhood associations\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          3. Social and local development improvements<\/strong><\/p>\n

          • Promote and \/ or participate in artistic, cultural, sports sponsorship activities\u2026<\/li>\n
          • To promote the sectorial and intersectoral associationism of user activities of the brand.<\/li>\n
          • Organize, participate and \/ or collaborate on projects of interest and social responsibility.<\/li>\n
          • Hire staff with special needs: long-term unemployed, unemployed young people, people with disabilities\u2026<\/li>\n
