Ap\u00edcola Brull Casanova SCCL is the result of three generations dedicated to beekeeping. Behind the company is a family, with three beekeeper brothers at the helm. Following in the footsteps of our ancestors, we have created an innovative, ambitious projectwith an ecological commitment.<\/p>\n

Our company is located in Perell\u00f3, a town in Baix Ebre with a long beekeeping tradition and a farm of 2,400 dadant-style hives. Our love and dedication to bees has allowed us to maintain a clear objective: to offer a product from our own harvest containing the maximum qualities of purity and biological richness.<\/p>\n

We take into account biodiversity, while also preserving the naturalness of each product. We offer honey without any manipulation, just as bees do. We are a company that promotes ecological responsibility and environmental awareness, taking care of the world around us. In fact, Ap\u00edcola Brull Casanova SCCL forms part of the Terres de l’Ebre Biosphere Reserve distinction.<\/p>\n

At Ap\u00edcola Brull Casanova SCCL, we consider transhumance a vital step in the production process of our honey. Transhumance consists of mobilizing the bee boxes to locations with the most availability of nectar and pollen. This technique incorporates movement withinthe production of honey, which directly involves the beekeeper in a dynamic relationship with the product. Additionally this creates the responsibility of knowing where the best harvesting conditions exist, in order to place the hives.<\/p>\n

Thanks to transhumance we are able to produce a variety of honeys including: rosemary, orange, thyme, mountain, thousand flowers, eucalyptus, forest and heather. Depending on the area in which we are working, on the climate and the conditions, we produce a specific type ofhoney. This process also helps us produce the best quality honey, from our own harvest, without manipulation-just as the bees do.<\/p>\n

We are located in Perell\u00f3, a town in Baix Ebre with a long beekeeping tradition. So ingrained is this custom, that since May 2021 Perell\u00f3 has been considered the Catalan capital of honey.<\/p>\n

We live in a benchmark town of the beekeeping world, since 40% of Catalan honey is produced in Perell\u00f3, where nearly forty farms are concentrated. This commitment highlights the respect of the municipality for the rural environment, in addition to the support for sustainable agriculture and awareness of climate change and biodiversity-values that we at Ap\u00edcola Brull Casanova SCCL also uphold and share.<\/p>\n
